St Paul's Ministry Centre - Kincumber

History

St Paul's Ministry Centre was dedicated and opened as a Parish Hall in 1981, as a focal point for the parish. Due to increasing congregation sizes, St Paul's Church was out grown, and in 1985, the St Paul's congregation moved over to the parish hall site.

In 1998 the 9.30 am congregation and Sunday school from St Bede's was merged with the 9.30 am Kincumber congregation, with an emphasis on family, children and youth ministries. In 2002 a family and youth ministry person, and a children's ministry person were employed, and a new contemporary service was started, Se@k ( Sunday Evening at Kincumber ), at 5.30 pm to cater for young families, children, youth and adults, with sporting ties. The Service moved to the Kincumber Youth Centre on June 13, 2010 to take advantage of larger facilities for a growing children's ministry and congregation.

In 2002 the rectory, became unsuitable as a residence, and was converted into offices, and meeting rooms, to enhance to growing ministry team and the growth of various ministries within Kincumber area.

In 2005 extensions were carried out to increase the floor space in the ministry centre, to accommodate growth in our 3 congregations.
